Wii Two Players

Top Games Available On Nintendo Wii by Kristi Ambrose

I am no stranger to video games, or any game for that matter. Have it be a gaming console, a game I can download, a board game, or a gaming site online, I love games and have got to have them in my life as a daily fix to get away from the world and just chill out for a little while! Games have always been a huge part of my life; I was always the kid that had the new game system before anyone else did! A few months ago I bought a Wii online, and I wanted to get a few cool games.

Thus far I have easily bought around 50 games. With other systems I'm mostly into first person shooters and racing, but with Wii its like a whole other experience with the games, and I tend to go for games I wouldn't usually go for like the ever popular boxing game. I always feel like a retard when I'm jumping around like that, but the Boxing game is genuinely fun and it really gets your heart pumping, which is what Wii is all about, right? Listed below, I have named off a few other games I have really enjoyed and have either tried out through a rental system or that are in my collection, check em out!

Metroid Prime 3 -
The war initiated by Dark Samus and the Space Pirates rages across many planets as they attempt to corrupt each with Phazon seeds. Players use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to explore alien landscapes, hunt for weapons and information, and destroy the seeds. Saving the planets from Corruption isn't enough, though. Eventually, players must take down Samus' mortal enemy, Dark Samus.

Besides using the Wii Remote and Manchu controllers to pull off amazing feats like aiming and blasting in midair or at a full run, players also will have an array of different weapons at their disposal. In true Metroid fashion, these will become powered up as the game progresses. Not only that, but the controller will be used for a number of other game elements beyond the traditional first person shooter standards.

Dave Mirra BMX Challenge -
Dave Mirra BMX Challenge for the Wii video game system features 12 different environments and 13 bikes to choose from. Each unique environment includes two race paths, and can be played in race or trick-oriented modes. Player characters are customizable, and BMX legend Dave is the featured rider. 12 different environments and 13 bikes to choose from, each environment includes two race paths and can be played in race or trick oriented modes, player characters are customizable, BMX legend Dave is the featured rider.

Summer Sports: Paradise Island -
Turn your Wii into a tropical getaway, seven addictive games, remote controls. Check into the Paradise Island resort and explore the vast array of recreational activities in a lush tropical environment. Compete against friends and collection of summer themed games including basketball, croquet, lawn darts, badminton, volleyball, or shoes, and mini golf. Bump, set, Spike, through, but, shoot, swing, and more all with the intuitive remote gestures.

SSX Blur -
Shred up some ice in this entry in the franchise designed to let you use your body motions in ways possible only with Wii as you race down the mountain. Revolutionary controls take full advantage of the Wiis potential by putting you in total command of your skier or rider, on the ground and in the air, by translating every emotion you make into the skill to create mountain legends.

The Simpsons -
In THE SIMPSONS GAME, Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos. To help the Simpsons, gamers at home must journey through all of Springfield (as well as vast worlds beyond!), vanquish an amazing array of villains, and fight their way through parodies of multiple popular games.

Pinball Hall Of Fame -
The Williams Collection faithfully recreates eight of the most memorable tables from the golden age of pinball in stunning, photorealistic 3D. Players begin the game with access to four pinball tables, and the remaining four tables are unlocked as the game progresses. Players can spend as little as two minutes on a quick pinball challenge, or delve deeper into the game, gaining rewards in a token-based system as they unlock each of the pinball tables. Single-player Arcade and Challenge modes provide hours of solo entertainment, and a Multiplayer mode lets players face each other head-on.

Of course there are tons of others out there but really these are the basics of a few of my very favorite ones. Since buying my Wii I have gotten into sports games more and more. I have always enjoyed the snowboard games on Xbox and such but Wii brings a little extra special something, especially now with the new Wii iFit! Check these out the next time your looking for a new and exciting game to play. Have fun!
